The 2012-13 campaign opens Sept. 18 at the Menlo-Atherton Center for Performing Arts with a Benjamin Britten centennial celebration featuring that composer’s “Simple Symphony” and “Les Illuminations,” with soprano Melody Moore, and Bartok’s Divertimento. The program repeats through Sept. 23 at Berkeley’s First Congregational Church, the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco and the Osher Marin JCC in San Rafael. Auerbach’s “Sogno di Stabat Mater for Solo Violin, Viola, Vibraphone and String Orchestra” anchors the Dec. 12-16 programs, and there will be tour kickoff concerts in January in San Francisco and Atherton only.
