I played drums with a lot of guys like Steve Condos, Eddie Brown, Charles ‘Cookie’ Cook and Charles ‘Honi’ Coles. I was in a rehearsal one day in 1978 and I had this epiphany, that I could recreate everything I was doing on the drums on my body. I stood up and I just started moving around with this idea. And before I knew it, I’d become a body musician.”.
